Responsibilities
Responsible for 100% of the design generation of power supplies from inception to final product
Design from documentation supplied by customers and/or internal specification
Interface with Sales/Marketing and customers as required
Generate preliminary documentation for fabrication of prototype models, including fabricating, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing analog and digital analog circuits
Test product models under various environmental conditions to ensure operational stability, reliability, and conformity to design
Utilize oscilloscopes, voltage meters, electronic loads, benchtop power supplies, test fixtures, environmental ovens, and other electronic equipment for work
Recommend, design, and possibly fabricate fixtures, tools, and equipment for product manufacturing
Create instructional information for the manufacturing of products transitioning from engineering
Adhere to ISO policies and procedures in all work performed
Effectively manage resources including inventory material, supplies, tools, and equipment
Consult supervisors for unusual conditions and safety issues
Maintain necessary records, files, and reports for immediate supervisors
Practice good housekeeping in the work area
Maintain equipment in good working order and report un-calibrated equipment
Follow company rules and regulations
Interface with other departments, vendors, and manufacturers as required
Perform other related duties as needed

Required
Four year degree in Electronics preferred or 6+ years in power supply industry experience
Three years experience or equivalent experience as design engineer of Power conversion circuits
Must be completely familiar with the following: advanced analog design techniques including magnetic design and theory, power supply layout and packaging including verification of cad generated documentation, power applications and interpretation of system power specification, component engineering, including stress factor analysis, manufacturing techniques related to power supply manufacturer, agency approvals: UL, CSA, VDE, TUV. Capable of making logical sequential steps in performance of work and require a minimum of supervision and direction

ISO experience a plus
