Responsibilities
Design and develop manufacturing processes to meet customer product specifications.
Investigate properties and treatments of metals for process improvement.
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing staff to enhance process design.
Lead product design proposals and develop innovative solutions for manufacturing processes.
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production efficiencies.
Assist in Lean, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Design machines, machine modifications, and tooling prints.
Assist in material tests, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Create and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with quality Certification requirements.
Assist in developing purchasing specifications and early product/prototype development.
Communicate project progress and completion status to Manager and Engineering team.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
1 – 3 years experience required
Experience with APQP, PFEMA, Control plans, and customer negotiations
Experience with 3D design (AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Experience with Lean Manufacturing (value stream mapping, 5S, kaizen, OEE, etc.)
Preferred
Green or Yellow Belt in Six Sigma is a plus
Experience with ISO/TS 16949 and AIAG Core Tools is a plus
Experience in metallurgy or a lab environment is a plus
