Responsibilities

Provide assistance in all aspects of network management from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.

Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions for efficient operation.

Monitor network and telecommunications systems performance, responding to anomalies and issues.

Assist in deploying VoIP, Video teleconference (VTC), and plain-old telephone systems (POTS).

Interface and communicate with external network operations centers as required.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network services and systems.

Communicate technical information to team members and other departments.

Install and configure new network and telecommunications systems hardware and software.

Create and maintain network telecommunications systems diagrams and configuration documentation.

Required

5 years of experience as a network engineer in similar programs

Bachelors' degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college is required

Experience with support of large-scale efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of data networks

Experience with common network devices (switches, routers, patch panels, etc.)

Experience with videoconferencing (VTC) endpoints, core VTC equipment, VoIP implementation, and telephony

Specific products used in this role are Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Meeting Server

Must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications: Network+, CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Video, or any such equivalent as approved

Must obtain certification prior to being accepted on contract
