Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and provide advanced support for multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks.
Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot multivendor network equipment and solutions from companies like VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper.
Plan, develop, and perform lab performance, functional, and integration testing.
Provide on-call Tier 3 operational support for emerging networks.
Collaborate with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to understand network requirements.
Contribute expertise to the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
Resolve interoperability issues across platforms and support hardware acquisition.
Work on security, routing, and switching protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, IPsec, STP, or L3VPNs.
Implement security hardening of systems and utilize security analysis tools.
Obtain and maintain necessary certifications like CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, JNCIA, JNCP, and Security+.

Required
Experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks
Experience in deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper
Experience with operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems and VMWare
Ability to plan, develop, and perform lab performance, functional, and integration testing
Ability to provide on-call Tier 3 operational support for emerging networks
Secret clearance
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of start date
Preferred
Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, IPsec, STP, or L3VPNs
Experience with STIGing or security hardening of systems
Experience with NESSUS, ACAS, or security analysis tools
Experience with Secret classified networks
CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, JNCIA, or JNCP Certifications
