Responsibilities

Architect, plan, implement, and operate the overall systems deployment

Build and maintain software and automation tools to increase deployment frequency

Take primary ownership for build, deploy, and monitoring automation of the team’s apps

Contribute to the design of the team’s apps

Drive continual improvement in build, deploy, and monitoring tools

Assist in coordinating with Systems Engineering and SRE teams

Deploy appropriate CI/CD tools

Set up tools and required infrastructure

Review, verify, and validate software code

Troubleshoot and fix code bugs

Encourage and build automated processes

Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers

Conduct testing of changes/improvements to identify bugs

Required

Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving systems development and deployment.

4 years of professional experience performing Linux administration in a large-scale SaaS environment

4 years of professional experience operating and improving pipeline tools including Jenkins and GitLab

3 years of professional experience developing high-quality technology products or services in a fast-paced environment

2 years of professional experience integrating multiple disparate systems via custom scripting, including Bash Scripting, and automation tools, including Jenkins

2 years of professional experience programming using Python or Java

2 years of professional experience shell scripting

2 years of professional experience maintaining production systems on major cloud IaaS including AWS

2 years of professional experience using configuration management (including Puppet and Ansible)

2 years of professional experience with containerization in a large-scale SaaS environment including Docker and Kubernetes
