Responsibilities
Provide budgeting, cost and hours analyses, and reporting on assigned contracts and projects.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and related reports for specified profit and cost centers.
Develop reports to ensure that financial planning and cost control activities meet overall objectives.
Respond to inquiries, identify issues, and develop solutions to complex financial data.
Make internal and external presentations and represent the company as the primary financial contact.
Assist in establishing profit center revenue, cost of sales, gross margin, discretionary spending, and budgets.
Prepare actual vs. budget reports, financial analyses, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Develop balance sheets, cash schedules, capital program budgets, and base analyses for profit centers.
Perform special economic evaluations, business and cost impact analyses, and cash forecasting.
Price proposals based on direct labor hours and other direct costs.
Work closely with program managers, profit center managers, and cost center managers in planning and budgeting work.
Prepare contract and funding status/backlog reports, project performance reports, and monitor spending.
Update and maintain projects, work break-down structures, and network activities in the company's ERP system.
Review labor and procurement requisition charging to network activities and cost centers.
Provide training to other financial analysts on the company's ERP system.
Review proposed contracts and other agreements from a financial and general business perspective.
Interface with DCAA and external auditors on audit inquiries.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and/or finance
Six or more years of progressive professional cost accounting experience in a corporate environment, preferably with a government contractor
Comprehensive understanding of industry and government cost accounting principles, theories, and concepts
Complete and thorough knowledge of cost accounting practices, techniques, and standards
Customer-focused with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including senior managers and senior external parties
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
Ability to represent the department or company on projects
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
