Responsibilities

Lead the planning and implementation for a set of prioritized capture programs in Aerospace & Defense

Collaborate with Program Champions to define project scope, goals and deliverables

Create and implement project plans for implementation to include managing program investment and schedule

Plan and manage program timeline schedules and investments

Assess and facilitate resolution of program risks and issues

Continually collaborate with and manage relevant internal and external stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business administration, or project management

Prior experience in program management, especially in the defense industry or a related field

Experience with military or government contracts and regulations

Experience in identifying and mitigating risks

Strong leadership skills are essential for managing teams and driving projects to successful completion; this includes the ability to engage cross-functional and sometimes cross-functional teams

Effective communication is crucial to engage stakeholders, managing teams, and ensure clear and concise communication of project goals and requirements

Proven ability to influence, manage performance, and resolve conflicts without authority and across functional and organizational lines

Ability to analyze complex problems, identify potential solutions, and make informed decisions is important for overcoming challenges that arise during projects

Ability to gain DoD Clearance

Ability & willingness to travel up to 25% domestically, with the possibility of international travel

Preferred

Relevant certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications

Experience with teaming, price to win, and position to win strategies is valuable

Solid understanding of the technical aspects of defense projects, including relevant technologies and systems, is important for effectively managing these projects
