Responsibilities

Responsible for responding to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system.

Performs network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after-hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc., to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.

Analyzes and resolves network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.

Provides maintenance and resolves issues in relation to Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, 16.3.2.1 ATM, Frame Relay, etc.

Required

Must maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.

At least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), etc.

High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.

Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, 16.3.2.1 ATM, Frame Relay, etc.
