Responsibilities
Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical correspondence, reports, and project schedules.
Coordinates the implementation of projects and contracts.
Provides technical support to operation and maintenance staff.
Interprets codes and regulations.
Investigates and/or responds to inquiries from technical personnel, regulatory agencies, and the general public.
Communicates directly and indirectly with consultants and contractors.
Conducts and coordinates special projects.
Provides technical guidance and training to staff.
Prepares administrative documents and correspondence such as reports, letters, forms, procedural guidelines, and schedules.
Reviews and monitors work activities performed by external consultants.
Analyzes work processes and implements improvements to enhance the functioning of drainage infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
Performs other technical work relative to drainage infrastructure.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a closely related field
Considerable knowledge of design or construction
Four years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, landscape design, geotechnical, environmental or a closely related field
Directly related professional architectural, construction or landscape design experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
