Responsibilities

Maintain, contribute to, and improve the next generation of large scale Cloud offering.

Work with providers and support the infrastructure powering Splunk’s cloud offering.

Have operational experience at scale with hands-on roles in operating systems and networking.

Be passionate about your work and actively responsible for your projects.

Work on distributed systems and find edge cases that appear at scale.

Have some development skills in languages like Python, Shell, Go, and C++.

Constantly ask how to automate processes and make decisions based on data.

Be excited about monitoring, shipping code often, and getting useful feedback.

Required

Operational experience at scale dealing with operating systems (particularly Linux) and networking

Experience with Cloud technologies

Passionate about work and actively responsible for projects

Experience in working on distributed systems or a passion for finding edge cases at scale

Development skills in languages like Python, Shell, Go, and C++

Familiarity with basic programming concepts like input sanitization and unit testing

Constantly asking 'How can I automate this process?'

Data-driven decision-making

Monitoring expertise

Ability to ship code often and adapt when solutions are not working as expected

Preferred

Experience with architecture, deployments, and networking in major industry vendors

Interest in open-source projects and exploring new technologies
