Responsibilities

Assist Project Superintendents

Assist in public relations, claims, subcontractor back charges, and force account work

Assist in ensuring project’s contractor performance rating above 90 percent

Process all documents required to start-up project as outlined in project checklist

Coordinate with Sub-Contractors

Update and maintain C.P.M. under direction of P.M.

Schedule surveys and inspections for field operations

Update and maintain as-Built drawings if required

Track quantities to ensure accurate payment by Owner

Manage Blue Stakes

Review budgets and adjust job costing

Manage change order correspondence and tracking

Ensure timely and accurate Project closeouts

Act as a company liaison with Project Owner and all Subcontractors

Prepare RFI’s, submittals and transmittals, change order log and serial letters timely and accurately

Track project expenses and records them in Heavy Job/Viewpoint on a weekly basis

Required

Bachelor's degree from four-year College, technical school or university in Engineering or Construction Management

4+ years of project engineer experience in Bridges/Structural or Heavy highway

4+ years of project engineer experience with technical tasks (collect, connect and report on multiple data points daily and reconcile reports, tracking quantities, RFIs, Change orders, etc.)

Knowledge of field concepts, practices, procedures pertaining to commercial construction

Be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and as a team player

Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight, multiple, and sometimes conflicting deadlines
