Responsibilities

Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products and processes of suppliers.

Ensures project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contracts.

Coordinates with customers and suppliers on quality performance, trends, and corrective action.

Leads supplier development activities for improved implementation of Dock-to-Stock and replenishment programs.

Works with suppliers to enhance products and processes through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

Ensures timely disposition of nonconforming material and analyzes defect trends for corrective action.

Specifies and validates inspection tools and gages for suppliers.

Participates in design reviews, approves Supplier Quality Requirement Plans (SQR’s), and develops follow-up plans.

Performs Quality Systems and Process Audits of current suppliers with reporting, follow-up, and closure of non-conformances.

Handles process improvements at supplier facilities.
