Responsibilities
Lead team responsible for manageable deliveries, including design, development, testing, end-to-end installation, and deployment.
Develop technical design and programming specifications to meet functional analysis.
Develop/modify application and database components per technical design and programming specs according to department standards.
Ensure appropriate source version control, migration, and deployment procedures for newly developed or modified application components.
Facilitate automation of tests and work with the quality assurance team to sign off on delivered tasks.
Debug and resolve high complexity software bugs or issues working independently, identifying the root cause, and providing a fix without collateral damage.
Hold code reviews and participate in the same held by other team members or vendors.
Follow development standards and effectively demonstrate technical solutions to other developers in code reviews.
Assist in making source code management decisions.
Serve as the product and project expert and the primary point of contact for engineering and customization issues.
Perform system configuration and vendor software version maintenance as needed.
Ensure development is delivered on time per specifications.
Ensure that project deliveries maintain a balance of scope, schedule, and cost, along with a strong focus on quality and the achievement of business outcomes.
Coach, mentor, and motivate the project team and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their tasks/projects to meet all goals.
Provide leadership to team members and regularly conduct effective and timely structured Performance Feedback sessions.
Follow best practice software development lifecycle and methodologies.
Protect operations by keeping internal and non-public information confidential.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required
8+ years of experience designing and developing software solutions using .NET (C#), ASP.NET, SQL Server programming, XML, XSLT
5+ years' experience implementing insurance software applications and integrations using the Duck Creek Policy and Billing technologies and platforms
Minimum of 3 years' experience leading teams of software developers
2+ years' experience managing code versioning, review, build, and deployment using technologies such as Github, Gitlab, and Bitbucket
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred
Experience with AngularJS, microservices, relational and non-relational DBs, Azure/AWS cloud environments
Experience with cloud SaaS deployment, and cloud-based DevOps in an Azure/AWS cloud environments
