Responsibilities

Work with the Microsoft field and top customers to test ideas for the Radius incubation project.

Engage with the open-source community to build partnerships and ensure Radius becomes a community project.

Create clarity through customer and community engagement to test incubations effectively.

Kick off and structure new projects, establish early phase engineering processes, and make technical tradeoffs.

Master new cloud native computing concepts quickly and provide hands-on support with application development and operations technologies.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience

8+ years experience with cloud native software development and/or operations at scale

5+ years experience building public cloud services or cloud based applications

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience

Experience in writing product narratives, mock press releases, and other written documents used for establishing and communicating product strategy

Experience working on version 1 products or working in a startup environment

Technical problem solving experience and software product development lifecycle experience

Experience with authoring and producing technical whitepapers and presentations

Experience with non-Microsoft platforms and technologies

Familiarity with open-source software systems and methodologies

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year
