Responsibilities

Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and relevant/related hand calculations for technical substantiation of mechanical design decisions.
Actively participate in technical and program reviews, contributing insights and expertise.
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing CAE tools like ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Classic, Siemens Simcenter, Nastran/Patran, and ABAQUS for analysis tasks.
Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams, fostering effective communication.
Apply advanced technical principles to address complex engineering challenges.
Thoroughly document work in compliance with customer requirements and prepare comprehensive reports/presentations.

Required

Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited university.
Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in aerospace structural analysis, or alternatively hold a Master's Degree in engineering from an accredited university.
Demonstrate expertise in aerospace structures, gas turbines, or turbomachinery and a strong understanding of low cycle fatigue (LCF) and fatigue and fracture mechanics theory and applications.
Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and managers at all organizational levels.
Currently have or be willing to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a requirement).

Preferred

Proficiency in geometry and mesh preparation using tools such as: ANSYS Workbench/Classic, Siemens Simcenter, Abaqus, Nastran/Patran.
Experience in model setup and analysis with tools like: ANSYS Classic/Workbench, Siemens Simcenter, Abaqus, Nastran/Patran.
Ability to post-process data and create high-quality presentations of results.
Familiarity with strength, fatigue, and durability properties, as well as materials, processes, and part standards.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work efficiently under time constraints, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Thrive in a collaborative and dynamic team environment, appreciating diverse experiences and contributing positively.
Possess or be willing and eligible to pursue an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope, granted, or renewed within the last 6 years.
