Responsibilities

Provide customized data sets to investigators by extracting and reporting data from clinical databases.

Handle large, complex research data requests and prioritize urgent tasks.

Demonstrate proficiency in SQL programming and use of data extraction/visualization platforms.

Build clinical concepts using medical ontologies and terminologies.

Meet with PIs and clinical teams to provide data updates and insights.

Mentor new analysts and provide education on data retrieval.

Identify data trends, develop data models, and design data marts.

Maintain security and confidentiality of patient information.

Perform quality control audits and create supporting documentation.

Collaborate with architects and analysts to understand business requirements.

Develop and implement data extraction procedures and warehouse database structures.

Required

Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field required

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in extensive data analysis, reporting role

Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito, Clinical Data Model proficiency/certifications required

Skilled at effective data collection and creating effective customized reports

Basic Proficiency in Programming Languages (C, C++, Python)

Effective time management skills at meeting deadlines

Skilled at using SQL and mathematics to solve problems

Skilled at identifying and verifying appropriate clinical source documentation for data reporting

Knowledge of regulatory aspects of protocol management

Strong analytical problem-solving skills

Maintains skills in, or knowledge of, professional principles, legal and/or reporting requirements affecting area of responsibility

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Preferred

Experience with N3C Data Enclave preferred

Familiarity with healthcare research preferred
