Responsibilities

Monitor and support infrastructure within AWS.

Acknowledge Jira tickets, respond accordingly using existing SOPs or Runbooks, and facilitate escalation as required for service issues.

Document and analyze alarms, identify points of failure, and see through to resolution any failures working with or escalating to the appropriate team member or department if needed.

Utilize system and performance monitoring tools to ensure reliability (Datadog, New Relic, and Uptime.com).

Participate in customer lifecycle utilizing existing change management procedures.

Interface daily with internal and external support groups.

Participate in 24-hour system monitoring and alarm remediation, including after-hours rotation.

Required

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or greater

Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the following areas:

+ Monitoring AWS workloads

+ Cloud monitoring tools and visualization systems such as Datadog and/or New Relic

+ System administration of Windows and/or Linux

+ Administration or use of Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS container orchestration.

+ SQL Administration, including Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.

+ Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
