Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day problem-solving guidance for production operations
Study data to comprehend process capability and monitor process trends
Identify process improvement and cost reduction projects based on process data exploration
Prepare cost justifications and capital requests for new equipment purchases
Interface with operators, team directors, and peers to develop and implement process improvements
Oversee bringing new equipment into production, including financial justification, designing, specifying, and purchasing
Develop maintenance and operator training documentation
Sponsor the transfer of new technology from development to production
Provide processing guidance during product development
Ensure all production and maintenance documentation is completed

Required
B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Materials preferred)
2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Creative/innovative problem solving
Strong technical fundamentals with process engineering skills
Able to partner across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions
Results oriented and high dedication
The ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
Preferred
Knowledge of Statistical packages such as Minitab
Skill with Structured Problem Solving such as DMAIC or PDCA
Knowledge of plastic extrusion technologies, Cabling processes and equipment, and/or UV Curable technologies
Six Sigma Green belt or equivalent
Project Management including Cost Estimation, Project Planning, and Execution
Experience programming PLCs in a manufacturing environment
