Responsibilities

Build and maintain descriptive and predictive models for the operations forecast used in labor and transportation planning

Conduct analyses using SQL, R, Python, or similar applications to drive insights and business strategy

Communicate forecast outlook to stakeholders with necessary context for trust and confidence in Operations Forecast outputs

Collaborate with Operations partners on special projects in customer fulfillment space

Serve as a subject matter expert for data, analytics, and testing within the business unit on demand volume at Wayfair

Maintain dashboards providing visibility into primary drivers of forecast error for stakeholders and executive audiences

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline

1+ years of experience in operations, technology, consulting, strategy or finance, preferably with diverse experience

Professional experience in writing code in structured programming languages (Python, R), writing scripts using GBQ or SQL, creating Pivot Tables and Vlookups in Google Sheets or Excel, and using data visualization tools such as Data Studio, Looker, Tableau or PowerBI

Able to clearly and consistently partner with individuals across a broad range of levels, functions, and technical backgrounds to achieve objectives

Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations

Excellent communication, both written and verbally

Results driven, understands complex business processes and systems relations/dependencies

Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks and demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment
