Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain crossbrowser and crossplatform compatible applications using web development technologies.
Produce efficient, maintainable, reliable code and refactor code as necessary for system enhancements.
Work in an agile environment where unit testing, code quality and continuous integration are a critical part of the development process.
Provide support to develop web-based applications including on line customer service to transform government agencies to be able to deliver their services online.
Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site.
Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications.
Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications/operating systems.
Provides technical support to project team members.
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Required

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
At least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Extensive development experience in building Java Web Services, including both SOAP and RESTful web services.
Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA is required.
Experiencing in designing, develops and supports software solutions based upon client requirements.
Frontend development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XHTML, and XML is required.
Solid DBMS knowledge; Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is required.
Experience in the following Sybase, Stored Procedures, Oracle, SQL Server, Java, ColdFusion, WebLogic.

Preferred

DevOps with continuous integration tools experience is preferred.
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Angular JS, Node.js, Ember, React) and enterprise search (Lucene, Solr) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with AWS or other PAAS is a plus.
