Responsibilities
Responsible for providing Base Business Support.
Identify process improvement initiatives and develop proposals for problem-solving.
Support process improvement projects for cost efficiency and quality enhancement.
Establish machine hour standards and Overall equipment efficiency.
Assist in developing operational control systems.
Evaluate data using statistical analytical methods.
Develop and revise production standards and Manufacturing/Packaging processes.
Coordinate work with personnel assigned to projects.
Provide technical support for evaluating process deficiencies and equipment failure.
Define, analyze, review, and evaluate problems for solutions.
Modify methods and standards to control project aspects.
Coordinate work phases with other departments and divisions.
Perform investigations, write NC Reports, and follow up on evaluations and approvals.
Participate in Cross Functional Investigations.
Evaluate Production Operation metrics and troubleshoot equipment.
Lead mitigations and determine root causes for NCR's and CAPA.
Revise and maintain engineering, equipment, and process procedures.
Participate in GMP audits and develop new ideas within processes.
Coordinate communications with end users and manufacturers/suppliers.
Participate in cross-departmental projects and activities.
Write, develop, and implement validation procedures.
Plan and develop own methods for problem-solving.
Develop and present new or improved methods.
Solve manufacturing problems efficiently.
Maintain high-quality services to prevent production downtimes.
Engage in contacts with personnel at all levels within the organization.
Interface with manufacturing representatives to ensure effective technical support.
Comply with environmental, safety, and health policies.
Communicate business issues or opportunities to management.
Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical majors preferred
2 to 4 years of experience in process improvement or maintenance engineering role in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry preferred
Experience with automated assembly and packaging equipment in the medical device manufacturing environment preferred
Functional knowledge of English language, must be able to read, write, and converse in English and Spanish
Process Excellence (Green Belt or Black Belt) and Lean certifications are preferred
Advanced computer skills and use of software application(s) including MS Office
Proven ability to anticipate and solve problems
Able to manage multiple priorities
Experience and working knowledge in short and long term project management
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and other employees of the organization
Preferred
Experience in developing manufacturing standards a plus
Some traveling may be required
This position may require up to 10% travel
