Responsibilities
Lead the design, initiation and build of best-in-class learning and leadership development initiatives, including the evolution and maintenance of a Marsh McLennan University.
Collaborate with Talent Partners and People Leaders across the organization to identify training and development needs, scope projects, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Source and oversee relationships with external content providers to ensure high-quality and relevant learning materials.
Set the direction for instructional design practices, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Provide guidance and support to instructional designers, subject-matter experts, and other contributors to ensure consistent performance and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning and development programs and continuously monitor progress.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and rapid custom curriculum development and customization.
Partner with Learning and Talent Solutions teams to explore the use of authoring tools, content management tools, and generative-AI tools to enhance learning experiences.
Support the growth and development of the learning team by providing management, coaching, and guidance.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the organization's evolving learning organization.

Required
A Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field or equivalent experience (10 years +). A Master’s degree is preferred.
Deep experience in learning and development practices, with a focus on ensuring for an excellent colleague experience, within a fixed budget, that is relevant across businesses.
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and learning technologies.
Proven experience in designing and developing engaging and interactive learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods.
Experience managing a team of instructional designers and subject matter experts.
Preferred
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with learning management and learning experience systems (LMS/ LXP) and e-learning authoring tools.
Experience working in a Fortune 250 professional services firm, or a similar corporate environment is highly desirable.
