Responsibilities
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and be directly involved in the growth of the product organization.
Design, build, and innovate the product using technologies like Ruby, Rails, Node, Postgres, Redis, etc.
Take wireframes or mockups and convert them into clean and semantic HTML and CSS with a focus on responsive design and performance.
Work with server-side rendered Rails HTML/ERB view templates and page-mounted React.
Optimize client-side and server-side performance, scalable frontend architectures, and cloud infrastructure tools.
Communicate effectively, learn quickly, and embrace changing requirements in an agile development environment.

Required
5+ years of experience building web applications using Rails
5+ years of working with SQL databases -- ideally ANSI-Compliant relational databases like Postgres & RDS
5+ years working within a product organization alongside Product Managers, QA, UX, and other cross-functional team resources
5+ years of experience using JavaScript & TypeScript on the frontend with modern web technologies and frameworks like React, Stimulus, Vue, Angular, etc.
5+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and styling various kinds of applications for the web.
3+ years of experience being able to take wireframes or mockups and convert them into clean and semantic HTML and CSS with a focus on responsive design and performance.
Experience working with server-side rendered Rails HTML/ERB view templates and page-mounted React
Experience with using Git for source control using Github.
Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly
Experience in product teams running with agile development methodologies and willingness to embrace changing requirements
A performance mindset that encompasses client-side and server-side performance optimization and techniques
Experience building scalable frontend architectures that take into consideration HTTP requests, SQL queries and memory management
Experience with Stripe API, Ruby Pay, Braintree or other payment APIs preferred
Hands-on experience in Heroku, AWS, or similar cloud infrastructure tools, adept at managing networking, performance optimization, and overall operational facets of a cloud platform
Experience working with Heroku, AWS, Azure or other cloud infrastructure and an understanding of running a cloud application
Exceptional interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a proactive approach to driving team success and achieving organizational goals. Leadership ambitions are a plus.
