Responsibilities

Conducting field inspections.

Coordinating, planning, and conducting laboratory tests, including macro/microhardness, tensile, Charpy V-notch, leak/pressure, and custom long-term durability testing.

Leading and completing failure analysis evaluations, including visual examinations, dimensional assessments, optical and scanning electron microscopy, metallography, mechanical and materials testing, and preparation of written reports.

Managing projects, organizing new business opportunities, and communicating effectively with clients, engineering colleagues, and technical and administrative staff.

Required

Graduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred), with familiarity/expertise in metallurgical engineering, materials science, and fracture mechanics.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred

Specialized metallurgical engineering knowledge and experience in metallographic and fractographic interpretation, corrosion, and materials characterization techniques is desired.

Professional Engineer license

Certified Welding Inspector accreditation
