Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to teams defending against cyber threats, malware, and compromised systems impacting the Public Enterprise.
Conduct investigations, incident response, network forensics, vulnerability remediation, architecture reviews, threat hunting, and red team exercises.
Work collaboratively with teams across the Public Enterprise to enhance cybersecurity processes and automate routine procedures.
Design and implement improvements to security operations capabilities, including tools, data, and methods.
Provide leadership and mentorship to other cybersecurity professionals, contributing to their career development and ensuring quality outcomes.

Required
Master's degree in Information Technology or related field OR 6 years of experience in information technology OR Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Preferred
Demonstrated ability face uncertainty and deliver outcomes independently
Evidence of professional experience securing Controlled Unclassified Information through operational cybersecurity, governance, risk management, and compliance
Evidence of academic and/or professional certifications in cybersecurity and/or governance, risk, and compliance (e.g., GSEC, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GPEN, GNFA, GPCS, GCSA, GDSA, CEH, CISSP)
Evidence of experience in security operations; detecting, responding to, and containing enterprise-wide threats
Demonstrated knowledge of controls, standards, policies, and regulatory compliance
Ability to correlate activity across assets (endpoint, network, apps) and environments (on-premises, cloud) to identify patterns of anomalous activity
Demonstrated knowledge of modern system designs and architecture using cloud native and infrastructure as code
Evidence of experience with common cloud languages and orchestration (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Git, Terraform)
Ability to model empathy, compassion and emotional intelligence
Ability to help foster a safe psychological space for all teammates where everyone can thrive
Ability to stimulate changes in individual, institutional, and corporate behaviors to create a more sustainable environment
Ability to lead by example in communicating, participating and encouraging support of the institution’s sustainability programs
