Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and direct custom and proprietary designs from initial contact with the customer through final production design

Work with customers and Product Development Director to identify design goals and develop end products

Consider best-in-class features in design, whether existing Berry or competitive solutions

Collaborate with various teams on new product development

Create necessary documentation for design solutions

Coordinate and manage all aspects of design

Maintain database of existing product drawings

Adhere to management procedures and industry regulations

Facilitate technical analysis and design reviews for prototypes and production

Required

Bachelor's degree in related fields

Experience with 3D computer modeling, preferably SolidWorks and/or Pro/Engineer

Strong skills in core design competencies: stack-up analysis, sketching, concept ideation, presenting, problem-solving

Knowledge of injection molding part design, processing, and tooling preferred

Ability to travel as needed (5-20%)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated individual

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be a proactive thinker, and be results-oriented

Possess a strong aesthetic sense with the ability to bring meaningful form to concepts (creativity)

Strong team player with an exceptional positive “can do” attitude

Preferred

Experience with Finite Element Analysis and MoldFlow
