Responsibilities

Technical lead of a team of engineers to design and deliver solutions for cloud management services globally improving efficiency and reliability.

Partners with stakeholders to determine user requirements and incorporates insights into future designs.

Leads by example in producing maintainable code and optimizing performance.

Leads the creation of implementation framework following industry standards and optimizes deployments within products.

Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and mentors other engineers across products/solutions.

Leads efforts to enhance, reuse, contribute to, and identify new software developer tools to support other programs and applications.

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Preferred

6+ years designing, developing, and operating backend services.

Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.

Experience in DevOps to maintain live services and/or application frameworks; experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.

Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable.

Proficient analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.

Passion for building highly scalable, highly reliable services.
