Responsibilities
Perform research in the areas of cyber and network security
Advise DoD and IC space system customers on secure design and implementation of systems
Review network architecture designs identify security, dataflow, performance deficiencies
Identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in SW, HW and Architecture design for mission environments and be able to make recommended mitigations
Lead or participate in projects involving one or more of the following areas: Vulnerability Assessment, Cyber Security Architecture, Cyber Security Prototype/Capability Development, cyber system trade-off studies for various system designs or protocols, validation of network system requirements.
Provide recommendations on network architectures and solutions based on technical performance evaluations
Contribute to the development of security prototypes

Required
Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical area of study
5 or more years of professional experience in cyber security
Demonstrable proficiency in one or more programming languages
Proficient in Linux and Unix based operating systems
Knowledge and/or experience of both offensive and defensive cyber security tools, tactics, techniques and procedures
Knowledge and/or experience performing vulnerability assessment and mitigation
Network engineering and architecture knowledge (TCP/IP, IPSEC, HTTP/S, routing protocols)
Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site/domestically/internationally approx. 10% of the time
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
8 or more years of professional experience in cyber security
Excellent communication skills; experience developing and delivering briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences
History of mentoring junior staff
Demonstrable history of project leadership in cyber assessments, prototype development and/or cyber research
Preferred
Advanced technical degree
Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining network devices (to include configuration of routers, switches and/or firewalls)
Experience with space systems, including familiarity with space, ground and user segments, as well as legacy software
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker
Experience with Agile methodology and team collaboration tools
