Responsibilities

Responsible for product development from concept through production, including new product, sustaining, and resolution of field problems.

Lead electro-mechanical product design and/or redesign, part assembly, and detailed part drawings.

Lead prototyping, testing, and assembly of samples.

Lead various Product Design/development projects.

Collaborate with all cross functional members of the design team.

Required

Bachelor of Engineering

0 to 2 years of applicable experience required

Proficient use of 3D CAD, MS Office, etc.

Proficient in LEAN & Six Sigma methodology and practices such as standard work, time study, cause & effect, 5WHY analysis and other tools of DMAIC.

The ability to communicate verbally, in written form and through sketches, and engineering drawings.

Works well in cross-functional team environments.

Possess understanding of manufacturing methods such as stamping, drawing, casting, extruding of metals and plastics.

Leadership, to influence and enlist the cooperation of other team members to work towards the goal of completing and implementing new product development on time, and in budget.

Knowledge of UL and UL testing processes very helpful.

Understand and adhere to the appropriate established industry and safety Standards.

Preferred

Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline

Commercial lighting experience preferred
