Responsibilities

Supervise a team specializing in life cycle support of Nimitz class electrical power generation and power distribution systems associated with the A4W reactor plant.

Manage and coordinate research, engineering, and design activities within the team.

Communicate with NAVSEA, NNL, Shipyards, TYCOM, and Ship's Force regarding Nimitz class electrical power systems and ShipAlt design.

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Preferred

BSEE or BSEET degree

Knowledge of Nimitz class electrical power systems and ShipAlt design

Experience communicating with NAVSEA, NNL, Shipyards, TYCOM, and Ship's Force
