Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Monitor and assess global cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, threat intelligence tools, and techniques.
Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports, briefings, and alerts.
Identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and develop techniques for their detection and analysis.
Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans.
Ensure proper security procedures are implemented after an attack.

Required
Experience with TCP/IP, systems administration, malware, network defense operations, and open-source information collection.
Working knowledge of indicators of compromise (IOC) types, indictor pivoting, and indictor attribution strength.
Experience conducting analysis/investigation and containment of potential data breaches or cyber security incidents.
Experience with digital forensics to include acquisition, processing, and examining of electronic evidence.
Experience communicating (verbal and written) with executives and stakeholders in non-technical terms.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer science engineering or a closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
or
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area.
or
Associate degree in computer information technology, computer engineering technology or networking technology from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area.
or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Per 5 CFR 731, upon appointment, applicant must be able to obtain a favorable suitability and fitness determination from a Tier 1 background investigation conducted by the Office of Personnel Management.
IAW AR 380-67, Chapter 3-54, Table 3-1, this position is designated as ADP-I and therefore requires a BI/SBI background investigation.
