Responsibilities

Develop software for internal and external use using approved languages (Go, Python) and recent cloud technologies.

Contribute to the design and functionality of the Cloud platform.

Provide input on architecture, design options, operational concepts, and test plans.

Review and diagnose system and application issues.

Assist in maintaining and updating production environments.

Collaborate with multiple teams and external customers to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required

Heavy exposure to Python, Go or similar languages

Bachelors CS/Computer Engineering/related field

5+ years industry experience with systems architectures

2+ years industry experience with Cloud technologies and providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

2+ years industry experience with distributed systems

Strong knowledge of Email infrastructure

Strong abilities in software development

Significant Linux system administration experience Comprehensive ability to diagnose and remediate complex issues

Experience with various technologies - Docker, Serverless applications, Puppet, Ansible, git, svn, Jenkins

Sensu Exposure to network infrastructure: security, routing, network management and performance management

Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external resources

Naturally curious person who is able to work with minimal guidance while collaborating across multiple departments within the company

Comfortable conveying research via written reports and in person presentations

Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently yet fully integrate with worldwide, remote teams

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Math or equivalent work experience
