Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and assists callers by transferring calls to appropriate areas
Pages physicians and hospital personnel on the public address system and pagers
Initiates emergency procedures and monitors multiple alarms and the HEAR radio system
Maintains accurate records of emergency events, alarms received and on-call sheets
Provides backup for patient information
Performs all assignments while providing good customer service to all callers

Required
High School Graduate / GED
At least one year experience operating a switchboard or as a receptionist with multiple line phone responsibility preferred
Good typing skills
Proven customer service skills in working with the public and in emergency situations
Preferred
Multiple line phone or switchboard skills
Basic computer skills - Experience with Word & Excel would be helpful
