Responsibilities
Apply shipboard maintenance experience and data analytics expertise to support senior Navy leaders and project managers in making informed decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant data from shipboard operations and other sources.
Utilize statistical analysis and data visualization tools to extract insights and communicate findings effectively.
Develop data-driven reports, briefings, and presentations for senior Navy leadership.
Identify opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis results.
Stay updated on industry trends in data analytics and incorporate new methodologies and technologies.
Build strong relationships with Navy personnel to ensure data analytics efforts align with organizational objectives.
Produce written deliverables explaining findings and recommendations for managers and executives.

Required
Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
Naval surface ship experience preferably in maintenance and surface warfare
Strong background in data analytics, including experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic techniques in a DOD setting, Navy preferred
Proficiency in leveraging data to support decision-making processes and drive operational improvements
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to senior Navy leaders
Familiarity with data sources and systems commonly used in the naval environment
Advanced competency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Must have secret clearance
Preferred
Education or certification in data analytics, computer science, or a related field
NAVSEA or Navy experience
Experience with Depot-level Overhaul, Maintenance and Modernization activities
Algorithm writing experience with Python and similar AI / Client languages desired
Experience with data visualization using Qlik and/or Tableau
Experience at Navy Shipyards Maintenance operations as Active Duty, Civilian and/or Contractor
