Responsibilities
Design/modify work centers to reduce material movement and maximize overall productivity.
Provide improved material handling/dispensing methods to reduce labor content and minimize poor body mechanics.
Utilize time & motion study tools to establish required staffing requirements and a balance of workload across all positions in a work cell.
Establish standard work for each operator position by SKU or product family, documented in such a way to be easily trained to a diversified production staff.
Work closely with manufacturing engineers to develop automation solutions.
Identify and implement standard ergonomic assessment tool to help improve workstation design to minimize injury potential.
Participate in the management of the safety program.
Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product structure (i.e., bills of material and manufacturing routings).

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
1–3 year of experience in a similar role for high volume manufacturing or assembly.
Ability to travel 10%–15% of the time as needed to additional sites.
Preferred
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
1 year of experience with DMAIC, PFMEA, Solidworks, Tableau, Value Stream Mapping, 8D, and Process Mapping.
