Responsibilities

Oversight of the entire administrative function of the institute and providing leadership and management to iBAM faculty and staff.
Coordinate with the Directors to execute strategic objectives related to research space, funding, resources, and staff planning.
Develop and maintain methods for quantifying the impact of iBAM to ensure continued support from various stakeholders.
Represent the center Directors at meetings and events with supervisors and directors of other Medical Discovery Teams.
Coordinate capital equipment purchases, training events, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
Maintain regulatory compliance for iBAM space and assist with protocol submissions.
Supervise the iBAM administrative pool to ensure cohesive functionality and strategic planning.
Identify gaps in administrative support and collaborate with stakeholders to fill them.
Establish core services structure, oversee sales operations development, and facilitate program development.
Analyze progress toward goals, review existing policies, and develop new policies and procedures for compliance.
Identify areas of potential risk related to research space and develop plans to mitigate concerns.
Work with various stakeholders to renovate space, relocate materials, and ensure research compliance.

Required

Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience including some personnel management.

Preferred

A background in any scientific discipline that provides some knowledge of laboratory operations.
An advanced degree
10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in healthcare, academia, or research management
Background in procurement, regulatory compliance (IBCs, IRBs, and IACUC), project management, budgeting and people/space/budget forecasting
