Responsibilities
Engineering and Design:
Conduct office project work, including performing necessary engineering calculations for design and documentation.
Generate detailed engineering drawings relevant to assigned projects.
Project Administration:
Prepare comprehensive scopes of work, manage timekeeping, facilitate management discussion meetings, and handle equipment specifications.
Solicit vendor and contractor quotes, manage project costing, oversee purchasing, and ensure project budget management.
Develop and maintain project schedules, turnover documentation, and issue/manage permits to work.
Field Work:
Coordinate contractor services and work closely with project-related individuals to ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and manage permits to work.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Management of Change, Process Safety Management, and Mechanical Integrity programs.
Develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
Project Management:
Follow up on pending items, track project progress, and stay informed about project status and milestones.
Troubleshooting and Process Improvement:
Assess and respond to critical process issues, troubleshoot production engineering problems as needed.
Participate and contribute in a team environment, engaging in discussions related to Process Engineering as process knowledge grows.
Safety and Values:
Actively participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of project engineering experience within a chemical manufacturing environment
