Responsibilities

Follow and enforce all safety procedures and rules.

Perform training on new safety procedures as necessary.

Proactively raise safety concerns, offering suggestions for improvement.

Provide engineering support to increase the quality and capacity of the manufacturing process.

Support process and equipment validation projects.

Manage equipment and line improvement projects from design through commissioning.

Improve processes using systematic methods (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).

Document technical learnings in clear, concise reports.

Present findings to the Blueshift Team when appropriate.

Champion root cause analysis to increase safety and quality.

Contribute to patents and/or internal trade secrets.

Required

Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.

10+ years of hands-on experience with plant machinery. Prefer candidates with experience in film extrusion, film casting, or polymer coating applications.

Experience in the safe handling of chemicals and organic flammable solvents.

Proven ability to lead projects completed on time and at/under budget.

Problem solver able to handle multiple and changing priorities.

Effective in oral and written English.

Able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.

Proficient using software for data collection and reporting.

Able to wear a respirator, as needed.
