Responsibilities
Performs day-to-day information security functions.
Monitoring, threat hunting, and validating firewall effectiveness; optimizing firewall policies and security configuration for various platforms.
Building out and managing an enterprise-level vulnerability management program.
Optimizing logging, eventing, and alerting for data flows.
Resource IT Operations and Security Operations projects, change management events, security incidents, and vulnerability/patching events.
Participating in incident response planning, investigating security breaches, and assisting with disciplinary and legal matters.
Building system baselines for future build-outs.
Keeping abreast of emerging security technologies and making recommendations for implementation.
Coordinating security issue and remediation efforts between different teams, setting clear expectations, communicating outcomes, and measuring success.
Responding to security alerts, identifying alerts, and maintaining updated documentation of technical controls, processes, and procedures.
Implementing, managing, and enforcing company information security policy and procedures.
Availability for after-hours work and occasional travel required.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Information Security related field, or relevant work experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
4 years of experience in IT with minimum 3 years with an information security focus, and/or security administration roles.
Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security architecture, systems and network security, authentication, and application security
Experience with enterprise vulnerability management solutions and reporting to key stakeholders.
Experience with security vulnerabilities, risk handling and secure systems design.
Experience with firewall, endpoint, and other information security mitigating technologies.
Experience with SIEM, MSSP/MDR management, and related security logging implementations and architecture
