Responsibilities

Responsible for design and function of the plant in accordance with specifications.

Ensure efficient project handling in conformity with customer requirements and production of contractually specified documents.

Preparation of technical specifications, evaluation of offers, and technical contact with suppliers.

Standardization and optimization of engineering hours and accessories costs.

Support Sales Engineers during the offer phase in complex cases.

Coordinate inspections, testing, and shipping, and act as a link between project management, suppliers, and packagers.

Complete equipment data sheets and other documentation requirements as needed.

Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues in Engineering, Sales, and CSS staff.

Maintain project documents and electronic files.

Report deficiencies, potential deficiencies, or non-compliance to supervisors or management.

Adhere to safety requirements and report any non-compliance.

Coordinate with SAP/PS- and DVS modules.

Provide technical direction to the plant designer.

Required

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in the field of Mechanical or Process Engineering

2+ years related experience with rotating equipment, reciprocating compressors, and/or related processes

Knowledge of ANSI and ASME codes

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Technical and creative problem-solving skills

Team player, “can do” attitude, self-starter, and excellent people skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Proficient personal computer skills including MS Office, SAP, CAD, electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
