Responsibilities

Perform Packaging Engineering analyses and documentation development in compliance with customer requirements and standards and specifications.
Develop and review packaging design concepts for complex industrial equipment using CAD or specialty software.
Develop and check packaging engineering drawings, and validate the design.
Provide engineering and process support to the spares packaging department.
Support packaging efforts in production through coordination with manufacturing, materials handling, and supply chain.
Develop and oversee process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and ergonomics.
Assist and provide technical guidance to packaging operators and manage technical activities for assigned projects.
Review subcontractor programs for compliance with specifications.
Prepare packaging engineering data for submittal to the field.
Participate in packaging design reviews to ensure customer compliance and support capability constraints.
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety policies.
Perform other duties as necessary.

BA or BS in appropriate discipline - OR - Combination of education and experience equivalent to a BS in a technical discipline plus 2 years relevant experience in military logistics or Packaging Engineering
Experience with measuring and test equipment
Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards
Lean/Six Sigma
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Logistics/packaging Experience
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management, and Analytics software
