Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams both internal and external to Stryker to solve data communication challenges

Leverage design principals, design patterns, and apply them to address specific product requirements

Exemplify good engineering practices utilizing Agile development methodologies

Participate in and seek continuous learning through peer review

Provide technical leadership within the team and mentor junior engineers

Assist support and professional services teams in debugging and resolving customer integration issues

Ensure quality by creation of automated unit, functional, and system tests

Create and maintain data model designs that meet requirements for performance and security

Adhere to required processes for medical device regulatory compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or related discipline required

6+ years of work experience required

Preferred

Demonstrated proficiency with Java, Linux, and databases

Experience or certification in SAFe and/or Scrum Agile

Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices

Experience with Cloud Development and Containers

Knowledge of common networking and messaging protocols such as TCP, UDP, SOAP, REST, HL7, JSON, XML, RTP, SIP

Consistent track record of overcoming obstacles to deliver high quality technical results within committed time parameters

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
