Responsibilities

Manages a major group of the engineering department through staffing, budget development and control, engineering project management, and personnel management.

Establishes and ensures department goals and objectives are met.

Provides direction and leadership to the software engineering team, administers performance appraisals and improvement plans.

Interfaces with customers to represent Sparton.

Assigns job tasks to engineers, monitors progress, and identifies training requirements.

Determines requirements for overhead expenditures to support the development process.

Develops and maintains Sparton Software Development processes.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
