Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.
Work on building services and tools to accelerate OCI's compute and network capacity growth.
Implement and maintain highly available and scalable services for managing physical assets throughout their lifecycle.
Partner with product team, learn about existing challenges, and influence the vision and direction.
Execute the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events leveraging internal tooling at OCI.

Required
1-3+ years of experience shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)
Proficient in Java, Python or Go
Experience developing customer-focused architectures and restful web services
Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
Preferred
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of key performance indicators and how to dig into them
Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in complex environments
Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features
Understanding of physical asset lifecycle within a cloud-scale datacenter
