Responsibilities

Analyze large and complex datasets to solve challenging business problems using analytical and statistical techniques.

Work cross functionally with various teams to understand challenges and propose solutions.

Design and build data science solutions that deliver value and create differentiation for the product.

Build ML models and deeper analytics using SQL and/or Python to generate insights.

Promote self-service for business users through visualization tools like PowerBI, Looker, or others.

Evangelize best practices in data science and lead by example to build a culture of innovation.

Required

Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.

5+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience.

Strong SQL skills and proficiency with modern programming languages (Python).

Strong understanding of common statistical and machine learning algorithms like clustering, tree/forest techniques, OLS, linear/nonlinear optimizations etc.

Familiarity with modern AI techniques such as LLMs, Model tuning, Transformers, RAG and Neural Networks.

Ability to create compelling visualizations using tools like PowerBI, Looker or Tableau.

Experience working with datastores such as Snowflake, BiqQuery, Redshift and ETL and ELT pipelines.

Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, comfortable presenting to all audiences including executive leadership.

Experience in building end to end data products that deliver business impact while aligning with stakeholders.

Preferred

FinTech or Financial Services experience.
