Responsibilities

Support production operations as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the assigned area of responsibility.

Coordinate job order information for production/development activities.

Provide oversight of equipment installation projects.

Write and update operational procedures.

Develop and implement PLC programs in support of area operations.

Participate in debug issues and troubleshooting of problems arising in existing equipment.

Access functionality of electrical and control systems.

Perform drafting changes to existing drawings and create new drawings.

Develop functional specifications and follow the BWXT established change management and safety evaluation processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. Internal candidates with a Physics Degree who are already on the Engineering Ladder are also eligible.

Must possess at least two (2) years of engineering experience.

Must have demonstrable skills and knowledge of CAD software, preferably Solid Edge, or possess a willingness to learn the software.

Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Must demonstrate excellent experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
