Responsibilities
Engage in cloud security architecture, design and implementation, providing expert guidance to ensure secure development and deployment practices.
Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with cross functional teams to manage and mitigate security incidents efficiently.
Develop and refine security protocols and response strategies, ensuring they align with current best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other internal teams to enhance our security posture.
Play a key role in design consultations, facilitating meaningful involvement of the security team in project lifecycles and decision-making processes.

Required
A minimum of 8 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with a focus on cloud security, security architecture analysis, and incident response.
Proven expertise in cloud architecture and security principles, and a thorough understanding of risk management frameworks.
Proficiency in developing and implementing security policies and procedures within cloud environments to safeguard against potential threats.
Strong technical skills in systems security analysis, proactive threat hunting, and the development of security strategies.
Aptitude for self-study, setting and achieving long term goals (for example, learning an unfamiliar programming language).
Ability to effectively assess and communicate risks and appropriate levels of urgency to management and engineering staff.
Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
United States Citizenship required.
Preferred
Professional cloud and security certifications, such as CISSP and CCSP.
Experience in conducting security architecture reviews and threat modeling.
Leadership in incident response, capable of guiding cross-functional teams through a response and mitigation strategy.
A deep understanding of the interplay between networks, systems, applications, and their data flows within the context of cloud environments.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
