Responsibilities

Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver the mission of building a financial system that works for everyday people

Partner with product and engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and develop new features

Create and implement a roadmap with the team, digging into the code when necessary

Recruit and mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and manage cross-functional relationships

Support stability while maintaining speed, contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn

Required

5+ years of development experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a management capacity leading teams

You have managed a team of 4 or more engineers that regularly created high-quality output on top of critical infrastructure

You have experience with distributed systems microservices and event-driven architecture

You are a creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude

You can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers

You tend to be the standard bearer who takes a great deal of pride in your work and can inspire others to rise to the occasion

You can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work

You are a software engineer who became a manager because you are great with people, and you want to expand what you can achieve while helping others grow in their careers

You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work on technical challenges
