Responsibilities
Develop and monitor the effectiveness of revenue strategies and initiatives including AAdvantage, sales, revenue management, finance, and marketing actions
Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving both short- and long-term value to American Airlines
Analyze the performance of existing partnerships, evaluate new partnerships and craft creative solutions
Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems
Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization
Ensure that the entire Strategic Planning & Analysis organization has the appropriate level of tool knowledge and that we are prepared for the future
Align teams around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams
Tailor communication of complex ideas to both junior and senior-level audiences
Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information
Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes
Develop reports and proposals, such as AAdvantage status population and cost modeling, customer activity and profitability, benefit analysis, and other program health and utilization analysis
Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, partner activity, mileage earn and redemption, market trends, ROI analyses, performance

Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training
Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or Master’s degree in a related field
Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment
Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to draw insights, drive results, and create innovative solutions
Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace
Ability to perform in cross-functional groups with minimal supervision to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline
Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Preferred
Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL, and SAS
Experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, or analytical field
