Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities on all guest and resident rooms as assigned

Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas as assigned

Report all deficiencies that exist during your daily routine property inspection. Make repairs immediately where there is a critical need.

Assist mechanics and external contractors in repairs of hotel property and equipment.

Monitor Fire Alarm/Life Safety System, handle emergencies involving the systems, and have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.

Perform repairs to mechanical, laundry, pool, sprinkler, electrical, and kitchen equipment.

Read, log, track, and interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other measuring units. Maintain a thorough log of each day's activities and problems that occur.

Observe energy and utilities usage in the Hotel, look for ways to conserve energy, and report any ideas to the Engineering Management.

Be trained and comprehend OSHA rules and regulations.

Be trained on where all emergency disconnects, valves, and shutoffs are located and comprehend how to operate them.

Be certified in pool operations.

Manage repairs and maintenance projects and building's improvements by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience in a related trade or position.

Training and Comprehension in building trades such as but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing.

Ability to handle multiple priorities.

Working knowledge of machinery, tools, repair techniques.

Ability to troubleshoot and expeditiously repair kitchen equipment, boilers, mechanical systems and laundry equipment.

Must be able to move, lift, carry and push items weighing up to 50-100lbs without assistance. Candidates must be able to utilize step stools and ladders effectively.
